The logistics of working in Barcelona with multiple disciplines and local suppliers presented real challenges sourcing materials and quality installers. We developed a design based upon procuring all the materials and services in the UK as a “flat pack” data room and then transporting them to Barcelona. The UK specialist install­ers flew to Barcelona and constructed the data room and installed the M & E services. The project was completed on time and to budget with full compliance with EU and local regulations. Attention to detail during the pre-construction phase was key in preparing a detailed design and installation solution that resulted in minimal coordination issues during construction and handover.
